A consumer watchdog has urged shoppers to watch out for certain pitfalls. In its latest bulletin, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) warned people to check:
Expiry dates
How outstanding balances can be spent. Do you have to spend it in one go, or can you use it a few times?
Watch for charges that should be mentioned in terms and conditions.
If you lose a voucher, the shop does not have to replace it.
