SHE was thrust back into the limelight thanks to her stint on Strictly last year. But if Louise Redknapp had her way, she could have been one of the most famous people on the planet.

Louise, right, has told pals her estranged husband ex-footballer Jamie may have cost her a role in the hugely popular sitcom Friends. The singer – then newly engaged to Jamie – was asked to audition for the show in 1998 but turned it down amid claims that the footballer did not want to lose her to Hollywood. A source close to Louise says: ‘She was deeply in love and wanted to make Jamie happy.

‘But lately she’s been looking back and feeling resentful.’

The couple are now reportedly divorcing after 19 years of marriage.
