IN his youth he was a style icon known as Rod the Mod to his fans. But at the age of 72, Rod Stewart is turning to his wife for sartorial inspiration.
The pop superstar was seen at a football match yesterday sporting an eye-catching leather coat with ‘fur’ collar uncannily similar to one once worn by wife Penny Lancaster. The former model, 46, was photographed in 2011 wearing an identical coat on a night out with her husband.
Rod has admitted borrowing clothes from his partners. In the 1970s he was known to wear Britt Ekland’s knickers on stage. Celtic supporter Rod, famous for hits such as You Wear It Well, was well wrapped up for the game against archrivals Rangers.
