Palace bill for Fosu-Mensah

MANCHESTER UNITED are in line for a £1million bonus if Crystal Palace return defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah to Old Trafford to free up space for another Premier League loan.

Roy Hodgson’s January plans have been complicated by Palace using their allowance of two PL loans on Fosu-Mensah and Chelsea’s Ruben LoftusCheek. It means they cannot follow up interest in other loan targets such as Liverpool forward Danny Ings unless a vacancy is created.

Fosu-Mensah is the likeliest to be released but there is a £1m break clause in the deal United did with Palace last summer.
