10 years on, Roz bringing back Cari ball
BEFORE the trio say ‘I do’, Roz is bringing back the Cari ball, a charity that is very much close to her heart, following her own experience of abuse as a child. The Red Ball will be held for the first time in 10 years on February 10 in Dublin’s Radisson Blu Royal Hotel – and all money will go towards counselling children who’ve been abused. ‘We really want to do the best for kids in Ireland,’ says Roz, who has previously spoken about her own experience at the hands of a relative. ‘It’s still happening as much as ever, sadly,’ she adds. ‘It’s something you live with all your life. But talking about it makes it all the more bearable. For young kids, if they get the treatment and the care that they should be getting in an early stage, it can make a huge difference and not bring it into their adulthood.’
