O’Brien is too much for 10-man Barnsley

-

AIDEN O’BRIEN’S two goals inspired Millwall to a comprehensive win over 10-man Barnsley.

Brad Potts put the visitors ahead on 11 minutes, but the game turned on a 20-minute spell either side of half-time.

Ireland youth cap O’Brien scored two goals and created one for Ben Thompson, while Barnsley had Joe Williams sent off for a foul on Jed Wallace. Fred Onyedinma added a fourth.

Millwall manager Neil Harris said: ‘I was delighted for Aiden. He’s been a goal threat in every game he’s played.’

Barnsley boss Paul Heckingbottom admitted: ‘Although it was 1-1 at half-time I felt we’d missed an opportunity and I saw signs that we weren’t really defending properly.’
