Hall of Famer Julius Erving was taken to a hospital after taking ill at the Philadelphia 76ers’ game on Friday. In a statement, his management said ‘Philadelphia 76ers legend Julius Erving fell ill at tonight’s game and was taken to a local hospital, where he is currently being evaluated.’ Erving, 67, and known as ‘Dr J’, rang the ceremonial Liberty Bell before tipoff.
