Man swept out to sea by wave dies
A MAN washed out to sea in Co. Clare yesterday has died.
It’s believed the man was taking photographs at the base of a cliff at Creeragh when he was struck by a rogue wave. It’s understood the man, 30, was from Hungary and living in Oranmore, Co. Galway. His partner was with him at the time, while the alarm was raised by an onlooker. The crew of helicopter Rescue 115 flew him to University Hospital Limerick where he died.
Gardaí are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
