WHY HOME PRICES ARE RISING

-

ANNUAL house price inflation has eased only slightly. It’s down from 11.6% in the year to October to 11.3% in November in Dublin, and from 12.8% to 11.7% in the rest of the country. This is no surprise to mortgage brokers, who say housing supply is still ‘a gulf away from the level of demand’. Brokers Ireland said rules treating second and subsequent buyers (SSBs) less favourably than first-time buyers are ‘adding to the supply problem’.
