over €160million outsourcing ‘home care’ to over 10,000 vulnerable citizens through a myriad of private home care providers All week, I’ve been hearing stories from the employees of these companies. On zero hours contracts, no travel expenses or sick pay, they get €11 an hour. The HSE pays the companies €25 for every hour! Their plight deserves government attention now.
