Moyes: We need Chicharito

- – KIERAN GILL

DAVID MOYES insists he will not sanction any sale of £16million star Javier Hernandez, who came off the bench yesterday to do what he does best.

Hernandez grabbed his first goal since October in the 73rd minute, bringing to mind his super-sub days at Manchester United.

It was only 69 seconds after Ryan Fraser handed Bournemouth a shock lead with their first shot on target. Hernandez replaced Manuel Lanzini shortly after an hour, with the Argentinian suffering a hamstring injury and giving Moyes another reason to feel frustrated about the size of his squad.

‘There’s been speculation about Chicharito (Hernandez) but there has been speculation about Andy Carroll, about Diafra Sakho, about every man and his dog,’ Moyes said.

‘As far as I’m concerned, you can look at my bench and you can say, “If there is one club that does not need to lose any players, it is West Ham”.’
