But the rich are still getting richer – with chief executives enjoying pay rises of up to 100% and a near doubling of cash bonuses, according to a new report from the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, which examines chief executive remuneration in some of our largest companies, including the semi-state sector. It would take those on average earnings up to 270 years to earn what some bosses make in one year.
