That’s typical – Boris’s puss thinks it’s the cat’s whiskers
FRESH drama on Downing Street, as the foreign secretary’s cat and the prime minister’s cat got into a bitter disagreement on Friday morning.
Larry is the long-term resident of Number 10, so in this case represents Theresa May, even though May is a dog person (of course she is). Larry is supercilious and useless at his job, in that Downing Street keeps having to go over his head and call in pest control.
Palmerston is the Foreign Office cat, in Boris Johnson’s corner. He is arrogant and extremely ambitious and has been caught brazenly trying to gain entry to Number 10.
Larry and Palmerston hate each other passionately and both are now licking their wounds after Friday’s ferocious battle. According to ITV’s Nick Dixon, Palmerston was victorious. Brexit-watchers take note.
