More agony for woeful Ulster
ULSTER’S nightmare season took another nosedive as Jono Gibbes’ men were blown away by a fired-up Scarlets side at Parc y Scarlets.
While Gibbes could point to key players like Rory Best and Jacob Stockdale being away on Six Nations duty, Scarlets coach Wayne Pivac has to cope with a far greater number of absentees but his understudies rose to the occasion against a lacklustre Ulster outfit. Although Ulster got off to a strong start and led at half-time thanks to a Stuart McCloskey try, the home side quickly established dominance and pulled away for a four-try bonus-point win and more humiliation for Ulster. Gibbes is finding out just how tough his predecessor Les Kiss had it.
