Rulebook revision: Three things to go

-

Rule 2.5 (Playing Rules):

The compulsion to produce a team list in Irish is not reflective of the changing face of Gaelic games and the players of so many varied ethnic backgrounds that are involved.

Rule 5.1:

The ban on other sports being played on club grounds is out of keeping with the times, all international units and the use of Croke Park.

Rule 6.45:

‘There shall be a mandatory closed period for games and collective training of all senior inter-county panels from December 21st to 28th inclusive.’ Try and square that with the first round of the Walsh Cup hurling in Leinster taking place on December 30 last.
