Gamble that paid off

-

WORKING with a global brand like Nike is only the most recent triumph for Dublin model Tia Duffy.

Since founding the Be Body Aware campaign Tia has graced the pages of Vogue, staged a fashion show that hit headlines all over the world and helped drive a movement that has sparked a rethink in the modelling industry.

The campaign is all about celebrating curves and diversity in fashion.

Tia recently appeared on the Late Late Show to talk about the issues surrounding body positivity, helping to generate a conversation beyond the the fashion world.

Tia is thrilled with her latest collaboration. It's such an achivement have my own creative project with Nike and to be exclusively released with Vogue Italia,’ she said. ‘It’s every fashionista’s dream. It was a risk setting up a project that challenged the industry and I knew I was risking my career as a model to change the way castings are done but it paid off.

‘I had so many doors shut on me over my decade in fashion but the right doors opened and that’s all that counts.’
