The naked courage of Victoria & Co
Eight women bared their souls – and their breasts – in an all-female Full Monty-style charity performance last week in an effort to raise breast cancer awareness and prevent mothers, sisters, grandmothers and daughters dying needlessly because they haven’t checked themselves. From Ruth Madoc and Coleen Nolan to tV presenter Victoria Derbyshire, above, who recently underwent a mastectomy, all of the plucky participants in itV’s the Real Full Monty: Ladies’ Night had been affected by cancer. Filmed in front of a live audience, the show included plenty of tears but absolutely no tantrums. We salute you, girls.
