THE NEW iPAD THAT’S THE APPLE OF THE TEACHER’S EYE
Apple CEO’s Tim Cook went back to school this week, not to study, but to announce Apple’s new iPad for students. In a special education event in Chicago, Cook revealed that the new 9.7in iPad brings Apple’s higher-end technology to a device aimed firmly at students. It has a Retina display, support for Apple Pencil and an A10 Fusion chip. It also brings Apple’s augmented reality features to the education market and will be available in Wi-Fi or cellular versions. Students will be able draw or write fluidly with sensors reacting to pressure from the pencil to create truly individual digital projects. Apple also announced Schoolwork, a new app for teachers that helps them create assignments for whole classes.
