Dermot steps aside so Pippa can finish off the redesign

-

DERMOT Bannon is the demanding architect with impeccably high standards and a penchant for perfectly appointed homes.

His conflicts on Room To Improve are the stuff of TV gold as he attempts to sway homeowners to his taste in bricks and mortar. But the indemand architect had high praise for Pippa O’Connor after he designed a revamp of her €1.3m mock-Tudor home at Kildare’s K Club.

As we previously revealed, Pippa and her husband Brian Ormond tasked Dermot with the redesign. Now with his role in the project complete having redesigned their home and successfully submitted a planning application, Pippa herself is overseeing the interior design of her million euro home. Bannon said: ‘I did plans and submitted them for approval. I was there from the start but our role in the build has come to an end and they are on to the interiors. And sure look, Pippa needs no help from me on how to style her home. She has impeccable taste. ‘[She and Brian] had an idea of what they wanted and we worked well together to achieve that. It will be beautiful, Pippa really has incredible style.’ Pippa has been sharing interior photographs of the work on her home on social media. Meanwhile, Bannon is enjoying a family break in Lanzarote. He revealed that pre-production for another series of the show was underway.
