One killed and seven hurt in terrorist attack in Paris

ONE person was stabbed to death and seven others injured in a terrorist attack in Paris last night.

French police shot and killed the knife-wielding attacker after he stabbed and killed one person and wounded seven others in the Opera district of the capital.

French media are reporting that the attacker shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ during his rampage.

Video footage on social media captured the chaotic scene of people fleeing the scene of the attack as one of the victims lay wounded on the ground.

Paris has been the subject of several terrorist attacks in recent years.

The worst was in November 2015 when 130 people were killed and hundreds more injured in co-ordinated terrorist attacks across the city, including at the Bataclan Theatre and Stade de France.
