One killed and seven hurt in ter­ror­ist at­tack in Paris

ONE per­son was stabbed to death and seven oth­ers in­jured in a ter­ror­ist at­tack in Paris last night.

French po­lice shot and killed the knife-wield­ing at­tacker af­ter he stabbed and killed one per­son and wounded seven oth­ers in the Opera dis­trict of the cap­i­tal.

French me­dia are re­port­ing that the at­tacker shouted ‘Al­lahu Ak­bar’ dur­ing his ram­page.

Video footage on so­cial me­dia cap­tured the chaotic scene of peo­ple flee­ing the scene of the at­tack as one of the vic­tims lay wounded on the ground.

Paris has been the sub­ject of sev­eral ter­ror­ist at­tacks in re­cent years.

The worst was in Novem­ber 2015 when 130 peo­ple were killed and hun­dreds more in­jured in co-or­di­nated ter­ror­ist at­tacks across the city, in­clud­ing at the Bat­a­clan Theatre and Stade de France.
