Pivac sees more to come from confident Scarlets

-

SCARLETS coach Wayne Pivac believes his side have the quality to win back to back Pro14 titles.

The West Walians brushed aside Glasgow Warriors with a 28-13 win at Scotstoun in their semi-final and will face Leinster at Lansdowne Road next Saturday.

Tries from Rhys Patchell, Gareth Davies, Rob Evans and Ken Owens was enough to see the visitors home.

‘We are the defending champions so we are really pleased to have reached another final,’ he said.

‘But it is going to be one heck of a game next Saturday.

‘We have worked really hard all year to get to another final and we want some more silverware,’ Pivac continued, promising his side can improve.

‘There’s more to come from us, but we are in a good place at the moment and we’re confident.’

DEPARTING Ulster coach Jono Gibbes is still attracting interest from top French club, La Rochelle.

It is believed that he was in France midweek – ahead of Ulster hosting Ospreys in a door-die Champions Cup play-off today (3.05) – despite already having been confirmed as taking over at Waikato in the weeks ahead, though sources state that Gibbes was just being courteous and is still homeward bound.

Today’s contest could make or break both teams’ domestic campaigns as a place at the top table of European rugby is still to play for.
