As Alan jets in from Miami for charity, it’s tan out of tan for effort

THE annual Cari Lunch, which took place in the Shelbourne Hotel on Friday, regularly attracts the great and the good from all corners of Ireland. But we reckon few had gone to the same lengths as MC Alan Hughes, below. Just hours beforehand, the TV presenter had jetted in from Miami, where he had been filming for TV3, and the tan sported by the Ireland AM presenter would have had most women green with envy. Not Claudine Keane, right, however. The wife of footballing ace Robbie boasted a deep tan, and she revealed that the Keane clan has been spending ‘lots of time’ in Dubai since Robbie signed with Indian squad Atletico de Kolkata. Speaking of tans, beauty blogger Suzanne Jackson, who recently launched her own self-tan, dressed casually for the occasion in artfully ripped jeans. The beauty queen probably didn’t need the contents of the goodie bags as the day was sponsored by rival brand Iconic Bronze. For Cari patron Roz Flanagan, who has three daughters getting married in the next year, it was a bittersweet day as youngest girl Monique has just flown the nest for New York.
