Has Gerry’s son Rex married in secret?
REX RYAN, the eldest son of tragic radio presenter Gerry Ryan, and his Polish-born girlfriend are rumoured to have married in secret.
The talented actor has been dating Migle Jasiene for more than a year, and their Christmas engagment even went unnoticed.
But this week it has been questioned whether Rex and Migle have tied the knot quietly after she changed her name to Migle Ryan on social media.
The couple share a flat in Dublin’s trendy Portobello and Migle has a young daughter from a previous relationship.
When contacted by the Irish Mail on Sunday about the possibility of any nuptials, Rex’s mother Morah remained tight-lipped.
Rex, 28, who recently starred in successful play Pilgrim in Dublin’s Smock Alley Theatre, previously said that his dad instilled in him the drive to pursue his stage career.
It is understood that he met Migle through the theatre and the pair soon struck up a romance.
Rex was Gerry’s first-born son, and with the exception of Elliott, each of the Ryan children have forged a career in showbusiness. Lottie, who married Fabio Aprile in Italy last year, works at 2fm; Bonnie is a successful make-up artist; and Babette is an up-and-coming singer and model. The close-knit family was plunged into tragedy in 2010 when Gerry was found dead at his Leeson Street home. An inquest into his death revealed that cocaine was a contributory factor. Rex accompanied his mum, Morah, to the inquest where she spoke of her children’s undying affection for their father: ‘He lived life to the full; it made him who he was. He loved us and we loved him.’
