Bookings at the Ivy continue to climb

-

DESPITE just announcing details of the muchanticipated opening of the Ivy Restaurant in Dublin this summer, the Diary can reveal that the restaurant has already been inundated with requests for bookings, with customers even trying to book a table for Christmas.

A number of companies have also even been enquiring this weekend about taking over the whole venue for private bookings.

But, despite the five-star status of the world-famous restaurant, they never allow corporate takeovers. With former Fair City actor Jamie Belton (pictured) installed as general manager, the restaurant will be situated in the new landmark building, One Molesworth, on Dawson Street. The brasserie-style restaurant and bar will accommodate up to 200 guests, and will also boast a private dining room, The Jonathan Swift Room, seating up to 36 guests.
