ARMED ROBBERY

One of the hundreds of CCTV films we viewed showed Father Peter McVerry stand by powerless as thugs armed with crowbars robbed a shop.

It happened last Christmas eve when homeless campaigner and advocate Fr McVerry, an innocent bystander, happened to be in the shop near Merchants Quay Ireland.

The owners, who have compiled a massive CCTV data bank of evidence, say they believe the robbery was carried out by members of a gang that sells drugs in the area.
