New boss Rouses Faithful
OFFALY 2-20 ANTRIM 1-15 OFFALY recorded a win for new manager Paul Rouse by overcoming the 44th-minute sending off of Nigel Dunne and finishing strongly against Antrim at O’Connor Park.
Rouse replaced Stephen Wallace, after the Faithful exited the Leinster SFC to Wicklow, and the former’s decision to return Brian Darby and Johnny Moloney to the panel, proved fruitful.
The home side were 0-11 to 0-9 to the good at the interval while goals from Bernard Allen and James Smith in the final quarter eased them to victory.
