ARMAGH overcame woeful Westmeath to advance to round two of the qualifers as beaten manager Colin Kelly confirmed his resignation after full-time.
Ronan O’Toole found the net with an excellent early finish but it was all Armagh from that point on. Kieran McGeeney’s charges scoring the next four points in succession and then led 011 to 1-4 at the interval.
A Kevin Fagan own goal after the re-start extended their lead and a goal from Anthony Duffy finished the game as a contest.
