A cheap shot, but royals can defend themselves

AFTER Britain’s Prince George played with toy guns while out with his mother, the PC thought police snapped into action, condemning Kate Middleton for giving him violent toys. Now it’s been revealed that Princess Charlotte loves fashion and is obsessed with the colour pink, there’s bound to be another royal rumpus about gender stereotypes in the palace nursery. It beggars belief that people disapprove of the royal family not embracing liberal, right-on values when the lessons of history show that its hopes for survival depend on tradition, constancy and barely perceptible levels of change.
