Sheridan double earns Kildare victory
JACK SHERIDAN netted two goals as Kildare claimed the Christy Ring Cup following a 3-19 to 111 final victory over London who finished the contest with 13 players at Croke Park.
Kildare were 2-10 to 1-5 to the good at the interval and Shane Ryan registered their other goal.
The Nicky Rackard Cup was won by Donegal on a 2-19 to 0-18 scoreline with Gavin Browne and Declan Coulter raising the green flags against Warwickshire.
Kevin Gilmartin was Sligo’s hat-trick hero in their 4-15 to 2-20 Lory Meagher Cup triumph over Lancashire in the curtainraiser at headquarters.
