Go wild and use your green f ingers to save the bees

WITH reports this week that a third of all bee species in Ireland could be extinct by 2030, the National Biodiversi­ty Data Centre has asked people to help reverse the decline by doing their bit in the garden. The tips include planting bee-attracting species such as sweet pea, honeysuckl­e, sunflowers and lavender. The centre also asks gardeners to leave an area of their lawn uncut during summer months.
