Una and Ben plot move to New York
SATURDAYS singer Una Healy was scouting the streets of New York this week as she and the family prepare to move there.
Her husband, rugby player Ben Foden, is coming to the end of his contract with the Northampton Saints and is hoping to move to a US club.
But this week’s New York trip wasn’t all work, as Una posted a photo of herself on Times Square in New York on Instagram as well as a photo from a restaurant where she and Ben enjoyed dinner to celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary. Una revealed last month that Ben was in talks with a rugby club in New York.
The singer also said she and their two children, Aoife Belle, six, and Tadgh, three, would move to New York with him. ‘We are committed to going as a family. I don’t think we could live different lives in separate cities across the Atlantic. It wouldn’t be right.’
Earlier, she posted a snap of herself in a bikini, announcing that she was headed for the swimming pool. Una, who is from Tipperary, married Ben in Thurles in 2012. They are currently living in England. The planned New York move puts the brakes on a mooted Saturday’s reunion.
Last month, she revealed that she had suffered postnatal depression after the birth of her son and was helped through it by her husband.
