Tubs’ sunny partner was his old chum not a new flame

RYAN TUBRIDY is ‘all loved up’ with his new mystery brunette – as The Diary recently revealed.

But, it seems the RTÉ star, 45, is also rather taken with another dark-haired lady as we spotted him soaking up some rays in St Stephen’s Green this week with none other than screenwriter Stephanie Preissner, 31.

Onlookers might be forgiven for linking the pair romantically. After all, they have a lot in common – both are dedicated bookworms and published authors (Stephanie has one book under her belt as well as the successful RTÉ comedy drama Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope. And Tubs is a veteran, having authored four titles).

However, while Tubridy is keeping schtum on the identity of his mystery flame he confirmed it’s not Stephanie. They are ‘just great friends’ who enjoy hanging out.
