TV husband and wife find romance off screen

FOR almost a decade, they formed a charming double act on TV’s Outnumbered. Now actors Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner, pictured, who played frazzled parents of a young family on the hit BBC show, have confirmed that they are dating in real life.

The relationship began last year, long after the sitcom left our TV screens, and after the actors’ respective long-term relationships broke up. Yesterday, Dennis – a panellist on Mock The Week – confirmed the romance. ‘I am very, very happy, we are so very happy,’ he said at his London home. ‘It’s nice and yes, it’s so lovely.’

A friend said: ‘They found one another at the right time in their lives and it’s all rather sweet.
