Man dies in farm accident

A MAN in his 50s has died after sustaining critical injuries while baling silage in Mayo yesterday.

Gardaí were called to a farm near Claremorris, before 10am. It is understood a number of men were with the man when the incident happened. The man was taken to Mayo University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority have launched separate investigations.
