You don’t have to spend a fortune building a tennis court in your garden to enjoy a bit of serve and volley this summer. The best €25 I ever spent was on a pop-up badminton set I bought a few years ago. Smyths has a similar set for €24.99 online or in its Blanchardstown centre. Argos has a tennis, badminton and volleyball set for all the family from three years up for €23. The net is adjustable and the tennis ball actually bounces on grass, I’ve been reliably informed by a fan who really enjoyed trying it out last weekend.
