Pregnant Vogue takes the tide in her stride

VOGUE Williams is giving new meaning to the phrase ‘cycle of life’.

Instead of lounging around under a sun umbrella, the seven months pregnant Irish broadcaster is having a decidedly more active holiday with her new husband in Spain.

Vogue recently married Spencer Matthews in his family’s ancestral Scottish home – bagging a Hello! magazine deal along with it – and she is now expecting their first child.

And true to her usual dynamic form, the Dubliner is taking pregnancy in her stride – or ‘paddle’ to be more precise.

Vogue has been posting holiday snaps this week from Sotogrande where she has been enjoying a spot of ‘pedal-paddling’, which involves navigating through water on a floating bicycle.

Rather than wading through waves the old fashioned way with an oar, pedal-paddling is more stable and considered safer for expectant mothers like Vogue.

Sounding a little miffed she wasn’t able to try anything more strenuous she said online: ‘There are limited water sports available for the preggo gals. I’d rather be wake boarding but this will suffice for the next while!’

Vogue also described her romantic break with Spencer as ‘the last ever child-free holiday’.
