THIS is the first Pyrenean stage of the Tour’s final week and features two first category climbs. Will Chris Froome have superior climbing form or will Team Sky team-mate Geraint Thomas and Tom Dumoulin be able to contain the four time Tour winner?

STAGE 20, SATURDAY SAINT-PEE-SUR-NIVELLE TO ESPELETTE, INDIVIDUAL TIME TRIAL, 31KM

IF the mountains don’t make the difference, then it all may come down to this closing ‘race of truth’, a lone race against the clock. Assuming the three main contenders remain the same, it is Dumoulin, the reigning world time trial champion, who could yet prove to be the best equipped rider.
