ON Friday, in the late evening sunshine, Justin Rose holed a 10-footer for birdie on the 18th to sneak on the cut mark on three over par. Out early yesterday, he raced around in 64, to set a new Open record low for Carnoustie, deposing Tommy Fleetwood whose 65 stood for 24 hours. Rose again holed a birdie putt at the last.
