CORK FORM

-

Overall, it’s been a very, very positive year. It has surprised me how impressive they have been. And yet it shouldn’t have. Munster champions last year, the whole All-Ireland semi-final changed with the sending off of Damien Cahalane.

Rumblings about John Meyler after a League wobble amounted to nothing more than loose talk.

They kicked on with Mark Coleman, Darragh Fitzgibbon and Bill Cooper offering a brilliant attacking platform that included Daniel Kearney enjoying a new lease of life in a roving role. Then you have Seamus Harnedy and Patrick Horgan leading the attack, the latter at the very top of the tree.

There may still be question marks in defence after that first half against Clare in the Munster final but overall, very impressive in going unbeaten through the round robin.
