Woman murderer’s axe attack ‘orgasms’

-

I was there when Texas executed its first woman since 1863. Hundreds of spectators and hordes of media gathered outside the prison as last-minute appeals failed to spare Karla Faye Tucker, the axe killer whose born-again Christianity sparked a worldwide debate over redemption and retribution on death row.

Tucker was executed in February 1998 – 15 years after she hacked a man and woman to death during a burglary in Houston. ‘I will see you all when you get there,’ she told witnesses in the death chamber. ‘I will wait for you.’

Tucker portrayed herself as someone who had been rehabilitated after a young life of drugs and prostitution. she wanted a life sentence so she could help others behind bars.

she was 23 when she used a 15lb pick-axe to kill one victim who had been hit by her companion with a hammer. she wanted the gurgling sound from the mortally-wounded man to stop. Then she attacked a female victim who had been hiding under a blanket, telling friends she had an orgasm each time she swung the axe.
