Lerma’s a Cherry

■ BOURNEMOUTH are set to smash their transfer record after agreeing a £25million fee with Levante for Colombian Jefferson Lerma. World Cup star Lerma, 23, will fly in from Spain today to complete his medical and agree personal terms. Lerma played 89 times for Levante and featured in all of Colombia’s World Cup games, including their last-16 defeat by England. Speaking after today’s 5-2 preseason thrashing of Marseille, Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe said: ‘We are still looking to add and we are working hard behind the scenes. My wish would have been to have all my players in before pre-season so we could have a nice six-week period working with them, but this year it has been incredibly difficult to get deals done early.’
