Palace trying to fight off Chelsea’s Zaha advances with improved deal

■ CRYSTAL PALACE will step up their efforts to keep Wilfried Zaha out of the clutches of Chelsea and Spurs. Palace value the 25-year-old midfielder at £70million but he has already rejected one offer of around £125,000 a week. Chelsea are willing to pay around £170,000 a week but if Palace can come close to that, Zaha may decide to stay.
