25th MIN: Monaghan were in complete control from early on and when Colin Walshe ended a fine move with a lovely point, it meant they had five different scorers, all from play, as they sailed into 0-5 to 0-2 lead. 35th MIN: Shane Walsh’s free helped close the deficit before the break but the Tribesmen looked out of sorts, as they trailed 0-7 to 0-5 at half-time. 50th MIN: Dermot Malone gave another hard-working display around the middle third and he got the point his endeavour deserved in the 50th minute to leave Monaghan five up, 0-12 to 0-7.

70th min: The game ended in a flurry of red and yellow cards but Ryan McAnespie (above) still popped up to score the fourth point of a marvellous performance as the Farney men ran out easy winners.
