I wilted as Rose, admits model Alannah
HER mother won the Rose of Tralee 35 years ago, but Alannah Beirne, one of Ireland’s most recognisable models, and for some, the real winner of Dancing With The Stars, has revealed she also tried her hand at the festival.
But sadly, the 24-year-old failed to even get past the local qualifying rounds.
‘When I was younger I entered the Rose of Tralee,’ she revealed. ‘I didn’t get very far but I suppose that was where it started. I’m going down this year and it is so much fun I am modelling on the 19th in the main fashion show.’
Alannah’s mother Brenda Hyland is returning to the competition, which starts next Friday, as a judge.
