Gazza blames sleeping pills for slurring on TV show
A SHOCKING TV appearance by a slurring Paul Gascoigne yesterday has raised new health fears.
Just 45 minutes into Sky’s Soccer AM show, host John Fendley told viewers Gascoigne had left because he ‘wasn’t feeling wonderful’. The former England and Tottenham Hotspur star, 51, who has battled alcoholism and drug addiction, is pictured below during the programme.
He later tweeted: ‘Ha just read some of the tweets some say I’m looking well others say it’s the best they’ve seen me and others are saying i was drunk it’s every time I’m doing well that’s ok I been taking sleeping tablets to try to kip that all.’
