Cover guy Becks slaps down those divorce rumours
DAVID Beckham has been persuaded to appear on the cover of next month’s British Vogue with wife Victoria – to avoid further speculation that the couple are set to divorce.
I can reveal that in May, the former Manchester United captain insisted he would not feature on the front page picture to go alongside a family interview in the glossy magazine.
The shoot, with Posh and their four children, was arranged to mark 10 years of Victoria’s fashion range. Annoyingly for Vogue, Beckham agreed to appear on the inside pages only.
However, after the couple were forced to deny earlier this summer that their 19-year marriage had hit a rocky patch, David, 43, thought his original decision would prompt yet more silly claims. A source said: ‘After much deliberation, David decided that to avoid even more nonsense...he would go on the cover.’
