How Donald meets them

MY FAVOURITE joke of the week came from my favourite US late-night talkshow host cum comedian, Stephen Colbert – about the trial of former Trump campaign manager, Paul Manafort. The key prosecution witness is Manafort’s former deputy, Rick Gates, whose integrity was challenged by defence counsel: ‘Did you have an extra-marital affair, Mr Gates?’ Colbert, who recently made a private visit to Dublin, said: ‘The President has had multiple extra-marital affairs – that’s how President Trump met two thirds of his wives.’
