HORNETS ARE OFF TO A FLYER
ROBERTO PEREYRA fired home a double to give Watford the perfect start to the Premier League season.
The former Juventus midfielder put in a man-of-the match display and his wellexecuted volley gave the Hornets the lead on 35 minutes. Pereyra doubled the advantage nine minutes after the break courtesy of another sweetly struck volley.
Watford manager Javi Gracia said: ‘I’m very happy with the result, but happier with the way we got it. They didn’t have any shots on target or create any chances..
Brighton boss Chris Hughton added: ‘We were second best.’
