A Nobel calling for Kerins’ dinner bash

AS part of his highly enjoyable interview in yesterday’s Irish Daily Mail, former Galway dual star Alan Kerins offered his list of dream guests for a dinner party in his house – and the table included some true heavyweights.

Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr and Barack Obama are all Nobel Peace Prize winners and Gandhi (above) was due to win one in 1948 before he was assassinated, with no award handed out that year in his honour.

So, plenty of gravitas there for dinner conversation, and not too taxing on Kerins’ household accounts either, as none of them would be known as big eaters.

Sure Gandhi would probably only have a glass of water…
