Silva tells star to grow up after headbutt
EVERTON manager Marco Silva warned Richarlison his youth is no excuse after the Brazilian was sent off for appearing to headbutt Adam Smith in their 2-2 draw at Bournemouth. The 21-year-old winger (left) senselessly pushed his forehead into Smith’s after reacting angrily to something the Cherries defender said and his boss wasn’t impressed.
‘To be clear, it is something Richarlison or the other players cannot do,’ said Silva. ‘It is something I don’t like to see and at this level if you are 18, 19, 20, or if you are 33, you always have to keep the emotional balance and your mentality too, if someone provokes you or not. I don’t want my players to do that.’
